PREMIOS EISNER 2010

Todas las obras nominados a los Premios Eisner 2010, que este año cumplen su 22ª edición. Tras un primer vistazo a la lista, podemos comprobar con satisfacción que hay tres autores españoles entre ellos: Jesús Sáiz (por su trabajo en ‘Brave & The Bold’), Salvador Larroca (por las portadas de ‘Invincible Iron Man’, una obra que ya le valió un Eisner el año pasado) y Ken Niimura (nominado por la magnífica ‘I Kill Giants’).
Aparte de esto, también podemos ver que el manga tiene cada vez una presencia mayor en estos míticos premios. Para empezar, Naoki Urasawa se ha llevado varias nominaciones por ‘20th Century Boys’ y ‘Pluto’ (de hecho, es el autor que cuenta con más nominaciones, un total de cinco), y también encontramos a Yoshihiro Tatsumi con su obra ‘Una vida errante’, que recientemente publicó Astiberri en nuestro país.

En lo que respecta a las secciones más importantes, me atreveré a dar mis favoritos. En mejor serie, apuesto por ‘The Unwritten’, uno de los pesos pesados de la tanda más reciente de Vertigo. Para mejor serie nueva me quedo sin duda con ‘Chew’, el originalísimo cómic protagonizado por un detective con un paladar bastante peculiar. Como mejor guionista estoy entre Brubaker y Johns, pues ambos llevan ya unos añitos en plena forma, aunque creo que me decidiré por el primero por mi adicción al noir. Y en cuanto al artista completo, me quedo con Urasawa, con permiso del señor Crumb. La categoría de mejor dibujante es la que no tengo tan clara. Echo en falta los nombres de Sean Philips por ‘Criminal’ e ‘Incognito’, e incluso a Víctor Santos por su trabajo en ‘Filthy Rich’, la última entrega noir de Azzarelo que bien habría merecido una nominación. La lista con los ganadores se hará pública en una gala dentro de la Comic-Con de San Diego el próximo 23 de julio.
